To Grow Daily

It doesn’t matter how small you were when you first came into this world. What matters is how much you grow each day of your life. It takes great self-discipline to act each day in a way that allows you to grow spiritually, intellectually, economically, and socially. Here are some ways to grow in each of these areas.

Spiritually: Give advice, be humble, correct wrongdoing, forgive, console, tolerate, pray, love your family and friends, and give thanks for all the blessings bestowed on you each day of your life. To have faith is a gift.

Intellectually: Read, write, learn, teach, listen, think, study, and at night go over the events of the day and make notes of your accomplishments. Knowledge is a gift.

Economically: Work, save, invest, economize, do not waste anything, learn to spend less than what you earn, teach your loved ones and others to save. Always remember that how much you save matters more than how much you earn. Utilize your time effectively. Your time is worth more than gold.

Socially: Volunteer in activities to help others, do favors, keep your surroundings clean, plant a tree, donate blood at least once a year (this will also force you to keep yourself healthy). Be there for your friends in good times and bad.

If you keep looking, you will find infinite actions that will help you grow as a person, but you must discipline yourself to do so every day of your life. If you succeed, the world will be a better place and you will be a better person.
